Friday's Eastern-day review runs from midnight through 11:59 p.m. on October 30, 2026; the reporting cutoff was Saturday, October 31 at 7:00 a.m. Eastern. The preview extends to Monday, November 2 at 7:00 a.m. Eastern. Every result and schedule item below was checked against the listed official school, conference or NCAA publication. The source set is selective, so this is a verified national briefing rather than a claim that every college event was captured.

Dartmouth turns takeaways into an Ivy reset

Dartmouth intercepted five passes and defeated previously unbeaten Harvard 24-14 in Hanover, New Hampshire. Cameron Best-Alston made two of the interceptions; Matthew Boydell, No'Koi Maddox and Sean Chester had one each. The Big Green improved to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in Ivy League play, while Harvard fell to 6-1 and 3-1.

Harvard gained 404 yards to Dartmouth's 271, but the Big Green ran 56 times for 229 yards and controlled the ball for 34:12. Grayson Saunier rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown, and Dartmouth kept Harvard scoreless in the second half. State & Nation assessment: the result tightened the Ivy race because Dartmouth made each takeaway count and used the running game to control the clock, while Harvard's greater yardage never became sustained scoring.

Three Friday football finishes, three different paths

Tulane erased a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit and won 38-31 in overtime at Charlotte. Cameron Roberts caught an 11-yard touchdown with 10 seconds left in regulation, and Dagan Bruno scored on fourth-and-goal in overtime. Tulane improved to 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the American; Charlotte fell to 1-7 and 1-3.

Baylor beat UCF 41-9 in Orlando behind DJ Lagway's 319 passing yards and four touchdowns. Baylor finished with 503 total yards, while its defense recorded seven sacks and 11 tackles for loss. UCF's Will Stone made field goals from 39, a school-record 57, and 35 yards.

Sacramento State earned its first Mid-American Conference victory by beating Kent State 31-10. The Hornets trailed 10-6 at halftime, then scored 25 unanswered points. Isaiah Ene ran for a career-high 107 yards, and Sacramento State forced five turnovers. State & Nation assessment: the Hornets' 278 total yards were secondary to a defense that kept creating short fields and denied Kent State a second-half point.

Ranked volleyball reshapes the SEC chase

Texas A&M followed one top-10 victory with another, defeating No. 6 Tennessee 3-1 in College Station. The No. 17 Aggies won 27-25, 33-31, 15-25 and 25-23. Kyndal Stowers had 19 kills and 15 digs, and Texas A&M produced a season-high 16 blocks. Both teams left the night 7-3 in SEC play.

No. 4 Florida stayed alone atop the SEC by sweeping Auburn 25-17, 25-20, 25-23. Taylor Parks finished with 39 assists, 10 digs, five kills and seven blocks, while Logan King led Florida with 17 kills. The Gators improved to 18-2 overall and 9-1 in the conference.

No. 7 Kentucky ended a two-match losing streak by sweeping Missouri 25-16, 29-27, 25-17. Morgan Gaerte had 19 kills, and the Wildcats moved to 16-5 overall and 8-3 in the SEC. State & Nation assessment: Florida still owns the clearest conference position, but Texas A&M's consecutive top-10 victories and Kentucky's response left the group behind the leader crowded rather than settled.

Games to watch through Monday at 7 a.m. Eastern

Saturday's football schedule begins with No. 5 Notre Dame against Navy in Foxborough and includes No. 22 Arizona at No. 13 Texas Tech at noon. The afternoon brings No. 17 Florida against No. 3 Georgia in Atlanta, while No. 1 Miami visits North Carolina and No. 2 Ohio State plays at Southern California in the evening. Those rankings and times come from the NCAA's October 30 schedule publication.

Florida volleyball returns home Sunday for a 1 p.m. Eastern match against Arkansas. That turnaround will test whether the Gators can carry Friday's serving, blocking and floor defense into a second match in less than 48 hours. Events finishing after 7 a.m. Eastern on Monday fall outside this edition's stated window.
