Thursday's results, through 7 a.m. Eastern on October 16
A program milestone in Division III field hockey and two strong goaltending performances in Division I ice hockey lead this morning's selected college report. The results below come from games played Thursday, October 15, 2026; upcoming contests remain scheduled events, not completed results.
In Immaculata, Pennsylvania, the Mighty Macs beat Cedar Crest 3–1 for the field hockey program's first United East Conference victory, according to the university's recap. Immaculata finished the night 4–9 overall and 1–2 in the league. Morgan Barnes, Gigi Fox and Alexis Andrada supplied the goals. The box score shows a 27–5 shot advantage and a 22–2 edge in shots on goal for Immaculata. Its next conference test is at St. Mary's College of Maryland on Saturday, October 17, at 1 p.m. Eastern.
Boston College defeated St. Cloud State 4–0 at Kelley Rink. Oscar Hemming scored twice, with Ryan Conmy and Dean Letourneau adding the other goals; Louka Cloutier made 28 saves. Boston College's own recap lists the Eagles at 1–1–0 afterward. The teams are scheduled to meet again Saturday at 6 p.m. Eastern. This was a nonconference game, so the win did not add Hockey East standings points.
New Hampshire's women earned a 3–1 home win over St. Lawrence behind 32 saves from Noemi Martinez. Sofia Kari scored on the power play, Addison Spitz put UNH back ahead in the second period, and Charlie Rauch added an empty-net goal with two seconds remaining. Aurora Kahlert recorded two assists. The Wildcats are scheduled to finish the series Friday at 11 a.m. Eastern in Durham. That game falls after this report's cutoff.
Games to watch over the next 48 hours
Rutgers hosts Indiana in men's soccer Friday at 7 p.m. Eastern at Yurcak Field in Piscataway. Rutgers' October 15 preview lists the Scarlet Knights at 5–6–1 overall and 3–3 in the Big Ten, with Indiana 11–0–2 and 4–0–1. Those are pregame records, not a prediction or a result.
In Division II women's volleyball, West Chester hosts East Stroudsburg Friday before visiting Kutztown Saturday at 4 p.m. Eastern. West Chester's preview lists the three teams' league records as 1–5, 5–2 and 6–2, respectively. Saturday's match is scheduled for Brandywine Heights High School in Mertztown, rather than Kutztown's Keystone Arena, which is undergoing renovations. Readers planning to attend should use the official schedule links for any subsequent changes.
Friday's men's Hockey East schedule includes Northeastern at Massachusetts and Boston University at Vermont, both listed for 7 p.m. Eastern. Unlike the Boston College–St. Cloud State game, these are league games with conference points available. No clinching or elimination scenario is asserted here.
Coverage limits and source status
This is a selective report, not a complete national scoreboard or an exhaustive review of any state. It includes verified Division I and Division III results and a Division II preview; it does not establish complete NAIA or junior-college game coverage for October 15. Unverified scores, postponed games and missing results have not been filled in. The separate standings pages retain each publisher's records and retrieval time; a standings table can lag a school's latest recap.
