About 94 costume sets sold on Amazon are covered. The recall offers a refund and reports no incidents or injuries.

About 94 CIYTI Light-Up Princess Costumes are being recalled because children can easily reach button batteries in the accessories, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Oct. 22. The agency said the products fail the mandatory toy safety standard and warned that swallowing the batteries can cause severe internal burns or death.

The sets include a blue dress, a light-up crown and wand, and a remote control. Button batteries are inside the crown, wand and remote. The items have no identifying marks, but the packaging carries the CIYTI name, according to the recall notice.

The costumes were sold on Amazon between February and June 2025 for $21 to $35. CPSC identifies the retailer as FoShanShiNanHaiQuNuoAiTongZhuangShangHang, of China, and says the products were made in China. No incidents or injuries had been reported in the notice.

The recall directs consumers to stop use, remove the costumes from children’s reach and contact the retailer for a full refund. Its instructions require marking the dress, crown, wand and remote with the word “RECALLED” in permanent ink, discarding the toys and emailing a photograph of the disposed items to Norakid2026@outlook.com.

CPSC separately cautions that the batteries are hazardous and should be handled through local hazardous-waste disposal or recycling procedures. The notice is recall number 27-038.

What it means

The refund procedure depends on documenting disposal of the affected set, including its accessories. Because the products themselves have no markings, the CIYTI packaging and the product descriptions and photographs in the official notice help owners identify the recall. The reported absence of incidents does not change CPSC’s finding that children can access the batteries; the notice’s stop-use instruction applies to the recalled products.
