Bamamon finger-light toys recalled over accessible button batteries

CPSC announced the recall of about 6,533 toys sold on Amazon. The notice reports no incidents or injuries and provides a refund contact.

About 6,533 Bamamon LED finger-light toys are being recalled because children can easily open their battery compartments, according to an October 22 notice from the Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC says the toys breach the mandatory toy standard and create an ingestion hazard; no incidents or injuries have been reported.

Each light contains three button-cell batteries. The multicolored toys were packaged in boxes of 32, with labels showing eight space-themed projections, including astronauts and rockets. Amazon sold them between March 2025 and August 2026 at prices of about $13–$14.

CPSC says consumers should stop using the toys and contact Bamamon at bamamonproductrecall@outlook.com. To obtain the refund, consumers will be asked to send a photograph documenting disposal of the product. The notice separately directs people to follow local hazardous-waste procedures when disposing of or recycling the batteries.

The retailer is Shenzhen Maiduoduo Trading Technology Co., Ltd., operating as Bamamon, in China, where the toys were manufactured. CPSC identifies the notice as recall 27-042. It says swallowing a button-cell or coin battery can cause internal chemical burns, severe injury or death; those are the stated potential consequences, rather than injuries reported in this recall.

What it means

The recall combines a stop-use instruction with a disposal-photo requirement for the refund. Its battery warning also means the toy-disposal photograph should not be read as an instruction to put loose batteries in ordinary household trash. The notice gives a company email contact but does not specify a refund-processing period.
