Two slide-playset models need replacement panels and hoops; owners should remove them from children’s reach while requesting a free kit.
Arlopu is recalling about 10,318 slide playsets because openings can trap a child’s head or neck, CPSC announced November 5. The company reported one entrapment incident that left abrasions on a child’s neck.
The recall covers KT-CS17 and LY-31 plastic playsets sold through Amazon.com and Walmart.com between April 2023 and August 2026. Find the KT-CS17 label beneath the raised platform; LY-31’s label is on the upper rear panel behind the slide.
CPSC says some openings admit a child’s torso but not the head. KT-CS17 also has basketball nets that can detach and create a dangerous loop.
Stop use and keep the playset away from children. Email arlopu_support@163.com a photograph showing the model to request a free repair kit, or call 800-657-9218. The kit supplies redesigned panels, hoops and instructions. After replacement, mark the old parts “RECALLED” permanently and discard them.
What it means
The remedy replaces hazardous components; an owner should not keep using the playset while awaiting parts. Arlopu’s recall page says verified requests ship free within 15 business days. Neither notice specifies a claim deadline.
