Proxies gets a December 11 Netflix release
Oriol Paulo's thriller has a confirmed global streaming date; its Catalonia shoot is described as completed.
The announcement
Netflix has scheduled Proxies for a worldwide streaming debut on December 11, 2026. The October 14 announcement identifies Oriol Paulo as director and co-writer, with Guillem Clua sharing the screenplay credit.
Juanita Films produced the thriller, whose cast includes Mario Casas, Eduard Fernández, Blanca Suárez, Alexandra Jiménez and Nicolás Francella. The story begins with a man's confession to police and connects it to a case that had appeared resolved.
What this means
The new information is a release date, not a production start. Netflix says the film was shot in Catalonia, but supplies neither the first shooting day nor a wrap date. That completed-shoot description should not be presented as evidence of filming there now.
