Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper Releases Statement on Gas Tax Extension and Diesel Relief
ATLANTA, GA – Today, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper released the following statement on Governor Brian Kemp’s extension of the state gas tax suspension through November 5 and waiver of state penalties for the highway use of dyed diesel. Harper praised Governor Kemp for taking action to provide continued relief for Georgia families, farmers, truckers, and businesses.
“Lower fuel costs mean more money in the pockets of hardworking Georgians,” said Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper. “Extending the gas tax suspension and suspending dyed diesel rules will help families, farmers, truckers, and businesses keep more of their hard-earned money, and I’ll continue to work closely with Governor Kemp to provide Georgians relief from high fuel prices.”
