Appointment
Governor Greg Abbott appointed Trasa Coburn to the Texas Historical Records Advisory Board for a term set to expire on February 1, 2029. The Board works to improve archival and records storage conditions throughout the state and ensures that permanent records documenting Texas’ history as a colony, province, republic, and state are preserved for future generations.
Trasa Cobern of Hurst is vice president of development officer for the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the advancement chair of Humanities Texas. Cobern received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas A&M University and a Graduate Certification in Secondary Education from the University of North Texas.
