Fall prescribed fire helps rid the prairie of woody species

Strong City, Kansas – Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is planning to conduct a number of prescribed burns this fall. Preserve managers are interested in observing the effects of fall fire on invasive, non-native plants and woody vegetation.
