1863 The Year that Changed Everything

Come to Homestead National Historical Park’s Education Center on Sunday, August 13, at 2:00 p.m. to hear artist in residence, Betsy Iversen, as she shares the research and thoughts she developed about the monumental year of 1863. Transferring of land from public domain to the people and using rail to connect the east coast to the west coast were just a couple of the projects that were kicked off in 1863 – changing everything.
