Solo Climber Dies in Fall on Denali’s West Buttress Route

On Monday, May 20, Denali National Park and Preserve mountaineering rangers located a deceased climber at an elevation of 17,000 feet on the West Buttress route on Denali. Recovery efforts will be attempted when weather conditions allow.
