The National Park Service awarded an approximately $17.7 million construction contract to rehabilitate the Ellis Island Main Immigration Building. Funded by the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA), the project will rehabilitate exterior building components including the masonry facade, clerestory windows, and skylights.

This agreement guides the FAA and NPS in the management of commercial air tours over these two parks. The public review period has been reopened for 30 additional days ending December 30, 2022.
