New Philadelphia National Historic Site has received a $25,000 grant from Jefferson National Parks Association’s BlueSky Opportunity Fund to support a new community-driven interpretation initiative, “Our Past, Our Voices: Building Community through Citizen Storytelling at New Philadelphia.”
Lincoln Home National Historic Site plans to host a free, public presentation for Black History Month titled "New Philadelphia: Its Connections to Springfield and the 1908 Race Riot.
The National Park Service has selected Christopher Collins as the superintendent of the newly established New Philadelphia National Historic Site located near Barry, Illinois. He will assume his new role at New Philadelphia later this spring.
